This almost sounds like a minimal house loop. I like it.

Thanks!

Your samples are on point, but your drums need more work. That clap sounds awful over this dope sample. Have you ever messed around with breakbeat manipulation? I think some layered hi-hats, bass drums (808 included) and a quality snare would make this better.

If youi'd like, PM me for production tips. It might take me a few days to get back to you, but I'll help you out. :)

Man, that bass is sooooo good. Why is it only a clip? Is the full track on your Soundcloud? I'mma look soon. This reminds me of Rusko in a way.

4 stars for the shortness. :p

AxELdub responds:

This song is actually still being worked on, full track will be available soon on the soundcloud.

I really wish Newgrounds had a Jungle sub-category. This would fit there oh so nicely. That bass is ear-gasmic. I love the chops you made to the breakbeat though it could use more variation. The sitar adds a nice Indian vibe to the track while the keyboard samples and vocal samples keep the whole firmly rooted in the Jungle sound.

What'd you use to make the pluck-type sound at 1:13?

A great Jungle track Waidmann. Keep it up bruv!

I love the intro. After the first 20 seconds though the piano needs some velocity edits to humanize it a bit. The bass and synths after the 1:00 mark are nicely formulated. Your bass drum is nicely mixed. The snare could be just a couple decibels louder, but all in all this track was awesome all around.

That Sine wave at around 0:05 is dope as hell. What'd you use to generate it? I like the sounds in this, but it needs to be fleshed out some more. It's far too short for its own good. That dub-influenced piano lick is cool.

All in all this gets a 7/10.

Man, I love your sample usage. The guitar that shows up halfway through is awesome. Is that a flute underneath the drums at around 0:45? I'm not really feeling the beat until the dialogue sample shows up, but your synths are on point. I really dig the last minute and a half though. The glockenspiel (Am I correct in this presumption?) at the end is cool. I would have used it throughout the track instead of only at the end, but to each their own.

I would love it if I could download this. :p

EdKempeper responds:

Hi ! (sorry for my poor english and this late answer ). Thanks for your comment ! Most of the samples is from a video called "Indian prophecy" or something like that. You're right, there's a native flute taken from Universal Soundbank. And for the glockenspiel i think it's from "Harmless" synthesizer, a preset called "Music box". Hope this coud help you.

Your vocal style reminds me of Ween. I could totally hear this being recorded on a 4-track and put o one of their first albums.

I don't know what else to say so I'll just leave. :p

ChessPiece19 responds:

I love Ween so much mang. If I could ever be half as talented as those dudes are I'd be extremely pleased with myself.

Man this is uber nice. I love the vocal samples throughout. They make the track a little haunting, but the drums and synths keep the track chilly.

You could work on your Panning and EQ as far as the piano is concerned, but the synths make up for it in my opinion.

All in all this is a nice piece.
